While compiling more metadata about the Woolf letters, I came across a presentation I gave nearly two years ago as part of our department’s graduate workshop. While it begins by surveying some of the letters Virginia Woolf received from readers (aka, fan mail), I used these examples to reflect on the difference between visualization and interpretation (and where the two might overlap).
